Chad Philhour is the founder and managing partner of Philhour Designs, an architectural and interior design firm specializing in entertainment, hospitality, and retail environments. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas, where he studied architecture and art history.

A proud graduate of De Soto High School, Chad is passionate about giving back to the community that helped shape him. He currently serves on the USD 232 Board of Education and is dedicated to advancing student success, educational excellence, and the district's continued growth.

Chad and his wife, Amanda, have four daughters who attend schools in USD 232. Chad is also a licensed foster parent and is committed to serving children and families throughout the area. He actively contributes to the USD 232 Education Foundation and its mission to expand educational opportunities for students and educators.
